Sauble, ON – The first race of the Lucas Oil Sportsman Cup (L.O.S.C.) series at Sauble Speedway on June 6th, 2015  was an exciting kick off to the 2015 season!  The 100 lap Lucas Oil Sportsman Cup series feature race kept fans on the edge of their seats.

The Cathcart Mechanical Performance #48 Pontiac Grand Prix captured a solid fifth place finish.

“With all the changes we’ve made over the winter, we are pleased with the performance of our ‘new car’,” said Doug Cathcart, Owner/Driver of the #48 Pontiac Grand Prix.  “This top 5 finish is a fantastic kick off to the 2015 season.  If we keep this pace for the rest of the season I’ll be so pleased”.

Fans filled the seats of Sauble Speedway grandstands to watch the L.O.S.C. commence its seventh season.  After each of the two practice sessions the #48 crew fine- tuned the Pontiac Grand Prix.  Cathcart qualified a solid 4th place and participated in the quick five draw where he retained his fourth place start.

“Our solid 48 team makes my job driving the car that much easier”, Cathcart said of his crew.  “The team’s hard work sets the stage for a great season!  We’re looking forward to next race at Flamboro Speedway where we hope to put on another great show for race fans”.

Saturday, June 27th the series heads to Flamborough, ON for the L.O.S.C. season’s next race.
