Team 48 looks forward to 2015!

Ottawa ON - In early February, Lucas Oil and the National Stock Car Association (NSCA) announced that they would once again join forces as title sponsors for the 2015 season of the Lucas Oil Sportsman Cup.  A total of seven races will take place from May to September at five different tracks in Ontario.

Another exciting announcement for 2015 is that all seven events of the Lucas Oil Sportsman Cup will be aired live on Race Time Radios.  If you can`t make it to the track, you can tune to racetimeradio.com and catch live flag to flag radio broadcast coverage of the race!

"This is really exciting news for the  L.O.S.C. series and for Team 48", remarked Doug Cathcart, Owner/Driver of the Cathcart Mechanical Performance sponsored #48 Pontiac Grand Prix.  "Live broadcast of each race really extends the series reach.  Being based in Ottawa, we have many fans who just can't make it to the track.  Live coverage brings the races to our fans!"

The L.O.S.C. series will begin and end the 2015 season at Full Throttle Motor Speedway in Durham. The season opening race is set for Saturday, May 9, 2015.  Other tracks announced in the 2015 tour include Flamboro Speedway, Delaware Speedway, Peterborough Speedway, and Sauble Speedway.

L.O.S.C. announced that many competitors from 2014 will be returning in 2015, including season champion Shawn McGlynn, as well as Brennan Didero, Dave Connelly, Doug Cathcart, Chad McGlynn and Josh Wood.  "It's quite possible that a number of them could be in the championship picture when the tour wraps up in September," the L.O.S.C. announcement states.

When asked if the team is ready for 2015, Cathcart noted that they made many changes to the #48 over the winter.  "We are really excited to get the car out onto the track and look forward to what we hope is a great season."  When asked about Team 48's goals, Cathcart smiled and said, "Our goal is another top 5 finish in 2015.  And.... well.... we wouldn't mind a checkered flag".

See you at the track!
